This figure shows a DEM of the outer eastern rim of lunar crater Wolf.
The shading image was acquired on April 21, 2002,
the shadow image on September 30, 2002. In
addition to the DEM of the outer eastern crater rim, the altitude differences
at the corresponding inner rim obtained by shadow analysis alone are shown. A
comparison reveals that the crater floor is lying on the same level as the
surrounding mare surface. The simulated shadow shows all features displayed
by the real shadow image.
